Integration of electro-crystallization and membrane for fluoride removal and recovery

In Taiwan, low concentrated F-containing wastewater (LHF) is treated through chemical precipitation of CaF2 with addition of various calcium salts. Due to the formation of very fine particles (ca., 0.1µm), additional coagulants or flocculants are needed to facility particle separation. As the result, the reuse and recycle of the sludges was complicated by the bulky sludge volume and low fluoride content.
