Experimental studies of a compact bag filter system with pulse-jet cleaning

Recently, airborne particulate matters (PM) are well-known as a major source of urban air pollution. These PMs are mainly emitted from combustion process. In order to remove the exhaust PM, various types of dust remover have been developed and applied as after treatment devices such as electric precipitator, cyclone, scrubber, and bag house system.

Among those, a bag filter is simple and versatile technique to remove particulate matters from dust-laden gas. Since the low cost for installation and operation, bag filter has been widely used in industrial use. Nowadays, the technical demands on the scaling up of capacity of processing gas have been steadily increased. To meet this technical need, various types of bag house system have been proposed.
