The research and testing institute OFI provides assistance for targeted, efficient development, optimisation and characterisation of your new products. Your concerns will always be given priority. Why? Because, rather than developing our own products, we act as a 100% privately owned, independent and self-funded accredited laboratory. In order to permanently reduce biohazards in indoor areas, OFI experts have developed new test methods for testing biological particle loads. With the evaluation of filter systems in air conditioning systems, automotive ventilation systems or air purifiers, OFI contributes to a sustainable improvement in safety and quality of life.

Our Services

• Filter system evaluation, if desired also with certificate (ZG 210 or ZG 250)
• Determination of retention efficiency of filter media with bioaerosols including viruses and bacteria as well as airborne allergens (mould, pollen, proteins) and standardized test aerosols
• Development and evaluation of realistic test setups (i.e. filtration efficacy testing directly in cars, rooms) and efficacy testing of air purifiers and face masks with bioaerosols.
• Material testing regarding antimicrobial efficacy and microbial resistance according to ISO 846, ISO 20743, ISO 18184 and others.
• Material evaluation regarding biocompatibility (cytotoxicity, irritation and sensitization) according to ISO 10993 and OECD Guidelines
