The Institute of Energy and Environmental Technology (IUTA e. V.) is a nonprofit research organization with a strong focus on filtration.

For more than 30 years, IUTA has provided customers with standard and tailored filter testing and evaluation, chemical analytics and process engineering services.

The institute is well-known for its capabilities as a service provider for measurements in the fields of validation of air purifiers, compressed air filtration, gas adsorption (i.a. for toxic substances), and aerosol filtration in general. IUTA offers a wide range of filter testing, whether according to a variety of industry standards or by using customized methods and test rigs, adapted to the specific research and development interest. IUTA is recognized in Europe and worldwide for its unique possibilities as your one-stop R&D partner.

Standard tests can be provided in accordance with:

• GB/T 18801-2015 (air purifiers for particles and gases),
• ISO 12500 (Compressed air filters),
• DIN EN 779 / ISO 16890 (particulate air filters for general ventilation; HVAC),
• DIN EN 1822 (high efficiency particle filters),
• DIN 71460 / ISO 11155 (Cabin air filters),
• ISO 8573 (Compressed air) and
• DIN EN ISO 10121 (gas phase air cleaning media and devices).

Besides the industry related services, IUTA is active in a variety of publicly funded research projects on filtration and air quality, most of them with a strong focus on knowledge transfer from basic research to industry.
