SmartFoam Series

Valco Melton designs and manufactures gluing solutions and vision quality controls to assist filtration manufacturers in ensuring filter quality and performance, while achieving an efficient and cost-effective production process. In 2026, we will be showcasing some of our latest developments:

1. SmartFoam units, available as an independent foaming station or as a melter with foaming capabilities, ensure a solid bond between the filter media while reducing adhesive usage. Utilizing an integrated dynamic mixer, it combines different types of adhesives with dry air, thus creating and dosing a homogeneous adhesive foam.

Adhesive density may be adjusted to meet the specific requirements of each application, ranging from 0 to 50%. SmartFoam systems automatically adjust all other working parameters. SmartFoam Series brings in proven performance with a variety of hot melts, including EVA’s, PSA’s, PUR, Polyester, and Polyolefins. Additionally, foaming improves certain adhesive properties such as open time, wetting, and compression, and increases the contact surface.

2. Multimodular applicator guns: a full range of pneumatic hot melt applicator guns, both air open spring close, air open air close, with standard modules and reduced size minidmodules, all in EMI high performance application technology, with option for Zero Cavity technology for clean cut-off, and our compact MKF applicator guns with high-speed minimodules.

ValcoMelton as leading supplier of hot melt electric dispensing technology presents our Ecostitch Lite multimodular gun assemblies, our latest development in our Ecostitch electric range.

Available for those suitable hot melts such as low viscosity EVAs and polylefins. Engineered for maximum durability and extended operational life, the Ecostitch Lite significantly outperforms conventional pneumatic systems in both efficiency and maintenance requirements. Its electric actuation ensures consistent adhesive application with improved accuracy, reduced wear, and lower energy, resulting in massive reduction of production downtime and spare parts expenditure. Suitable hot melts such as EVAs and lower viscosity polylefin hot melts.

All the above multimodular guns are also available with recirculation, with feeding hoses and return hoses, designed specifically for our foaming technology systems; this way after every production stop we can recirculate the foamed hot melt back to the mixer to homogenize and “renew” foam, providing with perfect foamed hot melt from the first application without having to disregard the first pieces of your production after every start up.

3. Valco Melton Vision technology solutions

AI powered self-learning algorhythm that allows for glue pattern inspection through camera vision, and filter pleat inspection. Have real life images of your pleated filter production and ensure perfect pleat distance, glue presence, right positioning and a perfect end product. Our Clearvision and Lutimio quality control solutions wil guarantee perfect quality end product.
