Johns Manville Highlights the Sweet Spot of Evalith® Micro Fiberglass Filtration Media at FILTECH 2026

Denver, CO / Cologne, Germany – June 2026 – As air quality standards continue to intensify across industrial, commercial, and critical environments, the focus is expanding beyond efficiency metrics alone. Today, manufacturers and system operators are increasingly evaluating how filtration materials perform over time and how responsibly they are engineered from a health and regulatory perspective.

In response, Johns Manville (JM) has launched its “Sweet Spot of Micro Fiberglass” campaign, highlighting the critical balance between proven biosoluble glass chemistry and stable, high‑efficiency filtration performance in air filtration applications using micro fiberglass media.

The campaign emphasizes that micro fiberglass remains essential for high‑efficiency mechanical filtration, particularly where consistent performance, low pressure drop, and long service life are required. At the same time, very fine fibers used for such applications fall under regulatory definitions that require manufacturers to clearly demonstrate how their materials behave over time.

Frameworks such as the EU’s CLP Regulation define recognized scientific test methods to assess whether specific chemistries are bio persistent or not. Johns Manville has applied this science‑based approach for more than 30 years, with biosoluble glass chemistries verified through recognized testing and supported by decades of production experience.
