AEGIS Microbe Shield^® is a quat-silane–based, full-spectrum liquid antimicrobial designed for use across a range of urethane cross-linked chemistries, including urethane foams, coatings, and Reaction Injection Moulding (RIM) systems. This easy-to-process liquid formulation can be pre-mixed into polyols, enabling seamless integration into existing manufacturing processes. It delivers effective antimicrobial protection in finished products, along with long-term stability and durability within polymer applications.

AEGIS technology is both bluesign^® approved and OEKO-TEX^® certified, supporting integration into responsible and sustainable manufacturing processes. EcoFresh™: Novel Odor-Capture Technology for Textiles & Polymers

Microban International, the leader in odor-control solutions, announced the launch of EcoFresh™, a cutting-edge odor-control technology that captures a wide spectrum of body, environmental and other offensive odorants.

This comprehensive technology targets and captures odors on the surface of textiles and polymers, delivering powerful odor reduction and lasting freshness, even in challenging environments.

EcoFresh captures a diverse set of odorants, including sweat/foot/body odor (carboxylic acids), aging body odor (aldehydes), smoke odor (aromatics), fish odor (amines and sulfides) and more. It provides fast-acting odor capture, working in real time to prevent treated materials from becoming saturated or overwhelmed by odorants. This technology outperforms activated carbon fabrics while offering unmatched fabric types and color options, creating lasting performance and extending use of polyester, polyester-rich blends, spandex, nylon, cotton, nonwovens, polypropylene and more.

The EcoFresh technology features two main offerings: EH1000, which is compatible with wicking aids, and ER1000, which is compatible with durable water repellents and customer-added binders. EcoFresh’s nonionic makeup and customizable compatibility enables use within a range of applications, including activewear, hiking and camping gear, uniforms, filtration and upholstery while preserving the fabric’s original comfort and performance.

MicroGuard™: Metal-Free Antifungal Protection for Filtration Products

Microban International is pleased to expand its portfolio of antimicrobial technologies with the introduction of MicroGuard™, a series of antifungal additives for PVC, PU, and EVA applications including foam. MicroGuard technology provides high antifungal efficacy and 24/7 built-in protection, preventing microbial degradation to extend the useful product lifetime.

This innovative solution from the global leader in antimicrobials is part of Microban’s commitment to bringing novel technologies to market with more friendly toxicity profiles than currently available agents. MicroGuard has been developed as a non-leaching antifungal agent comprised of active ingredients that are free from metals, offering an alternative to arsenic-based solutions that are causing regulatory concerns.

MicroGuard can be seamlessly integrated into PVC, PU and EVA products at the point of manufacture, and has been designed for use in a broad range of applications. The technology can be incorporated into outdoor PVC products – roofing membranes, tarpaulin, awnings and decking – and used to treat goods manufactured from PU and EVA foams, including shoe soles, furniture cushions and mattresses.
